The Lowe’s Foundation has launched a coalition of more than 75 organizations aiming to help train and develop one million people for skilled-trades careers by 2035. Its plan connects employers and training providers and tracks progress from training into employment. For shops trying to build a crew, the useful part will be the local training partnerships that follow, not the headline number alone.
🏥 Medical Offices Offer a Steadier Construction Market
Medical-office construction has held up better than general office construction, according to a Yardi Matrix report covered by Electrical Contractor. Over a decade, annual general-office starts fell 73%, compared with a 9.5% decline for medical offices. If your shop is looking beyond conventional office fit-outs, healthcare is a sector worth investigating rather than assuming all office work is slowing equally.
🏭 Champion Adds a Fifth Fiberglass Conduit Line
Champion Fiberglass says its fifth production line is operating in Spring, Texas. Together with a fourth line commissioned in April, the expansion has doubled its production capacity in less than six months, serving demand from utilities, data centers and other infrastructure projects. More factory capacity is encouraging, but confirm your distributor’s actual availability before changing a project schedule.
